This may be a cookie or a pat or a verbal reinforcement. This will show the dog that it is ok to behave like this and it will repeat the same behavior next time it is given a similar command.
Don't use violence or aggression in the dog training. The dog cannot possibly respond well to such aggressive dog training, so it will be more aggressive. Each breed of dog has its particularities in dog training and an experienced trainer knows this and will help you and your dog become close and have a mutual positive experience.
