I have known many people who celebrate their dog's birthdays with as great joy and fanfare as others do their children's. There is nothing wrong in that. You will be surprised to learn that dogs actually love to cuddle and play with soft toys, sometimes just as much as kids do. Some dogs carry their soft toys in their mouth during the day as a child would carry their toys, while some love to snuggle against theirs.
